The Connecticut Sun hosted the Atlanta Dream at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT for their third and final preseason game. It was first time new Dream Head Coach Nicki Collen faced her former team where she was previously an assistant coach under Sun Head Coach Curt Miller.
Both teams spread out the playing minutes across their full training camp rosters, as they experimented with different combinations of players. The deadline for the final roster cut-down is May 17th, 5 PM Eastern Time. Each WNBA team is allowed a total of 12 players.
The Sun beat the Dream in this preseason exhibition game 74 to 58. Alex Bentley had 13 points, followed by Courtney Williams and Rachel Banham each scoring 10 points. For the Dream, Layshia Clarendon scored 13 points followed by Jessica Breland with 8 points.
The Sun take on the Las Vegas Aces in their home opening game on Sunday, May 20th.
